You can probably guess - lots of drunk people on a beach, fire, danging and general monkey business. I woke up covered in blood from a scalp wound. No ide how I did that one!
Otherwise, I have been blasting round the islands roads and dirt tracks on a 125cc dirt bike - loads of fun ;-). Diving is up next when it quiets down - not sure yet but might get my PADI advanced while I am on this island, and then just do some dives on Koh Tao or Phi Phi… Decisions decisions.

30 hours of travel from Siem Reap has brought us to the island - 2 days before the full moon party. Exhausted, but looking forward to a few beers… And there are motox bikes for rent here ;-).

Did not have enough money to fire this beast - $100 for 100 rounds. Couldnt resist the pose though!

Crossed into Cambodia this morning from Vietnam. Immigration was painless - bar the $25 visa fee. The air con bus was nice, and the drive handled all our customs and visa needs. Makes for an easy life!
On arrival in Phnom Penh, me and Matt went straight to the military run shooting range - where I got to play with a russian sub machine gun - drum magazine and all, and a tokarev pistol. Much fun! We also witnessed an Australian lobbing a hand grenade into a pond, and firing an M60 - which are rather loud by the way. They are also heavy, but I now have some new pictures to put up ;-).
Tomorrow is a bit more reality as we go to the killing fields, museum and whatever else can be jammed into a day.

Just back from seeing the Chu Chi tunnels just outside of Saigon. The tunnels were cool - very interesting to see the size and layout. It really is no wonder the North Vietnamese won - they simply devoted themselves to winning entirely. The original entrance is only just big enough for me - and my camera case needed to be taken off before i could get back out! There was also a display of booby traps - real scary devices.
Anyway, I then gave $12 to fire 10 rounds with an AK47 - they also had M16, a .30 cal machine gun and some pistols. The ammo they use is awful quality, but its still fun to let off 3 rounds on fully auto! Will get a chance to shoot again over the next few days in Cambodia - they have Uzi!

Most of the time in Hanoi was spent feeling a bit sorry for myself. Got some kind of my usual illness. Fixed now though.
We went on a 2 day trip to see Halong Bay - a cruise aboard a junk with the night spent on board. We then proceded to drink our boat dry, and then board another boat and buy beer from the belgians aboard. There may have been a bottle that had silk moths in it as well - which we ate. Being drunk aboard a boat is a bad thing (in hindsight) as i woke up wondering why my foot leg and face hurt. Seems I made an error on a staircase - and now have a lovely bruise on my cheek!
Tonight we travel onwards to Hue - see some temples and perhaps the DMZ - this was the old border between North and South.
