Can I have my hand back please?
6 month old tiger cub that decided it wanted to chew my hands… Just like a normal kitten only bigger. And cuter. They wouldn’t let me keep it :-(. More photos on Flickr…..

Bangkok Highlights
Bangkok was fun! Stayed on Khao Sarn Road, went drinking (cheap tiger beer! Yes!) wandered around many shops, got a boat, got lost, got scammed by a taxi, had a ride in a tuk-tuk and probably more.
Yesterday we went to A floating market (hectic), the bridge over the river Kwai and the Kanchataburi Tiger temple. This means I have lots of pictures of tigers now.. Many with me in them. Later I got headbutted by a giant water buffalo, and chewed by a tiger cub. After this there was more beer.
Today I am off to Vietnam to explore - will be In Hanoi by teatime tonight. After that there is probably a plan, maybe involving Cambodia. Then beaches, diving and partying. Not sure that will be the order, but working on it.

About to leave New Zealand
Down to 24 hours left in the country…. Crazy amount of rushing round, just sold the car, sent stuff home, tried to pack and a million other things.. Suddenly realised that more adventure is coming and not ready for it - but tomorrow I will be on the plane, and will be in Bangkok in 36 hours from now!
See you all on the other side (of the equator).

Back In Napier
In the last few days I have crossed the Cook Straight, cafe’d it up in Wellington, Skiied on an active volcano at Ruapehu, partied in Taupo (which sucks a bit without all the backpackers in town), finally eaten a big pig (awesome meal) and I am now in Napier, where i was 11 months ago. Pretty much come full circle in NZ, and will be out of here in about a week - we may extend a few days if necessary to sell car and tidy up loose ends.

Goodbyes
Currently sat in Wellington, having left behind my flat, Queenstown and the South Island. Will miss the place and people. 11 days until I fly out of NZ…… Off to Tongariro National Park shortly.

Not Long Now
I leave Queenstown on Monday - moving out after 7 months here in this flat…
The ski season finishes tomorrow, even though there has been nearly 1m of snow in the last 3 days.. One final go on a snowboard for me then.
