I love this shot. Its pretty much the shot you see on every postcard, but it still rocks. The Franz Glacier is amazing as it drops down so low it hits forest - its the whole standing on ice while everywhere around you you see summer thing that captures the imagination….

Busy week - spent most of the week putting up Marquees at the Queenstown Events Centre for the super 14 rugby, which is where the crushed finger happened. I caught my finger between the handle of a sledgehammer and a peg. I ended up having to burn a hole in my nail to release blood trapped under there - which was fun.
Then on Saturday I bought a car and watched the rugby. The car is a 1994 Falcon - more on this later.
Sunday I wen to the Race To The Sky - a 13km gravel road hill climb. The highlight was watching Monster Tajima (sp?) running the awesome Escudo up there - a car which will be familiar to any Gran Turismo fan.

Went to Milford for the weekend with some guys from work. We drove out on Saturday and stayed at Gunn’s camp in the cabins for a few drinks, and then went into Milford for a cruise on the Sunday.
The sounds are very spectacular - 1600m almost sheer sided mountains dropping into the sea, with 160m waterfalls. The cruise was good - especially as we blagged a free ride - John knows on of the boatdrivers :-). A late night high speed cruise home in the olden finished the day.
