Peugeot 406 Sri
I have had this car for many years now. Bought when my Granada packed up, its provided nearly 50,000 miles of hassle free motoring – bar its high petrol comsuption and taste for eating front tyres.
Its a rare estate – not many were produced with the 2.2 engine. This knocks out 160bhp and with variable valve timing manages a decent level of torque low down (not enough compared to my old 4.0 falcon, but thats another story). Its very practical for the Mountain Biking, Camping and Triathlons I do and with the large engine (by UK standards) its worth very little these days.
