The Car Lives!
And here she is:

Its a 1994 Ford Fairmont – which is just a higher spec falcon. Motor is a 4.0 straight 6 mated to a 4 speed auto – which I would usually hate, but auto is OK on bigger motors. Chucks out 200bhp at 5k rpm and 260 lb/ft of torque.
Its got some good toys – electrics, cruise, climate control and alloys which goes down well with me. I bought it a month ago, but it failed its WOF on a door hinge, broken handbrake cable and 2 duff tires. I managed to get those parts from a wreckers yesterday and fixed it today. Now its road legal and ready to bankrupt me with fuel bills. I live in Queenstown – surrounded by awesome roads, many of which are full on gravel hill climbs up to the ski fields. Sideways here we come!
It just needed a handbrake cable, door hinge and 2 tyres to pass its WOF (MOT). Fitted the cable and hinge this morning and got some cheapo front tyres fitted and it passed. Now I just need a job to be able to put fuel into it!
